Our mission is centered around Accountability, Diversity, Equality, and Inclusivity (ADEI) because these principles are the foundation for programming a world where everyone irrespective of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or even political affiliation can live, thrive, lead, and drive sustainable change in all sectors of our society.

Each component of ADEI plays a unique role in building resilience communities and achieving the sustainable development goals.

Due to the intersectionality nature of the ADEI framework, WIMAGE uses a three-stage (research, data-driven advocacy, and intervention through empowerment) holistic approach to program development and implementation:

Research

At WIMAGE, research is the core foundation of our initiatives, informing our understanding of the nuanced challenges women and girls face globally. Through comprehensive, gender-focused research, we gather evidence to advocate for gender responsive policy, design impactful interventions, and provide data-backed insights to our stakeholders and partners.

Our commitment to quality research ensures that our recommendations and interventions are not only impactful but also sustainable and aligned with the true needs of the targeted partners.

Data-Driven Advocacy

WIMAGE harnesses the power of data to inform gender responsive policies, amplify the voices of women and girls, and drive actionable and effective social change. Data is critical in our advocacy efforts as it provides gender evidence-based insights that brings out the challenges women and girls are facing in real-time, and the gaps and the opportunities for advancing ADEI.

Our approach to develop the Global Open Data Portal is informed by the need for a global open data platform that strengthens accountability, inform policies, and promotes advocacy efforts to drive systemic and effective change in social justice, human rights and good governance.

Intervention Through Empowerment

Our interventions are strategically designed to address a targeted need to address the specific barriers to equality and create equitable pathways for leadership, economic independence, and civic engagement for women and girls.
